Frequently asked questions
Is Rekmoon free?
Yes. Recording, transcribing, summarizing, translating, exporting and organizing are free. Only questions asked to your notes require Premium.
Do I need an account?
No. No account, no email, no password. Open the app and record.
Where are my recordings stored?
On your iPhone, and only there. The audio is never sent to a server. There is no cloud sync, so remember to export what matters to you.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
No. Rekmoon works fully on iPhone. The watch adds the most natural way to start a recording, and can record on its own.
My iPhone does not have Apple's on-device AI. Will I get summaries?
Yes. When your iPhone cannot summarize on its own, the text (never the audio) goes through the Rekmoon server, which keeps nothing. You can also use your own key with the provider of your choice.
Which languages are supported?
The app is available in 13 languages. Transcription follows your iPhone's language or the one you choose, depending on what iOS supports on your device.
Does it work offline?
Recording and transcription work offline once the language is downloaded. A summary needs either Apple's on-device AI or a connection.
Can I record a phone call?
An app cannot record a phone call: iOS does it, and notifies every participant. Then share the recording from Notes to Rekmoon, which transcribes and summarizes it. Always respect the law and the consent of the people you talk to.
Can I import an existing audio file?
Yes, from the share sheet of any app, or with a long press on the record orb. Up to 4 hours per file.
How do I cancel Premium?
From your Apple account settings, under Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge.
